Rovetti Corinne Anti-abortion Movement 1

Corinne Rovetti was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on October 4, 1953. In the 1970s she worked in Mississippi as a Volunteer in Service to America (VISTA). As a college student at Queens College, her life-long interest in Women’s health developed. In the 1980s she began working at the Knoxville Center for Reproductive Health in Knoxville, Tenn. where she is a counselor and Nurse Practitioner. In this interview Rovetti discusses the development of her political identity and how she learned about the Women’s movement, Women’s health, and feminism. She describes in detail the history of the Knoxville Center of Reproductive Health, from its founding to the protests against it and how the current political climate has affected Women’s Reproductive Rights.
