Creed Victoria Vietnam War 1

Born in West Virginia in 1949, Victoria Creed is from a self-described Appalachian migrant family, an identity that shaped much of her work and activism. Creed has lived and worked in eastern Tennessee since the 1960s, and she has moved in and out of various activist networks in the region, from the Commission on Religion in Appalachia to the Ford Foundation’s Southern Appalachian Leadership and Training Program. Here, Creed discusses her encounters with and participation in the civil rights movement, new left, and Women’s movements.
